Castletown’s former Police Station is set to become an "exciting piece in the jigsaw of the town’s regeneration".
That's according to Manx National Heritage ahead of plans to use parts of the the historic building for community use.
The building was purchased by Manx National Heritage in 2018 in order to preserve it.
Marlinspike Properties Limited and Manx National Heritage have teamed up to turn the station into a hub for local hotels, bars and restaurants, scheduled to open in summer 2023.
Designed by Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott, the building was built between 1899 and 1901 using the same stone as Castle Rushen, and was used as a police station until 2017.
John Paul Walker, Historic Buildings Architect for MNH, says the project will see the adaptive re-use of an historic building for new sustainable purposes.
