Police are advising that any high sided vehicles do not use the Mountain Road at this time.
It's due to the high winds and weather conditions.
Officers say the road will remain open but the conditions are difficult, and motorists are asked to drive appropriately.
It's added that all services are expected to be extremely busy across the Island today dealing with weather issues.
