The owner of Heysham port says it's spending millions of pounds in a major project to increase capacity and improve efficiency.
Peel Ports Group says it'll invest £10 million in the site to reconfigure its trailer park and improve the smart gate system for hauliers.
It says the scheme will improve terminal operations for all users, including the Steam Packet Company.
