The Island's Heritage Trail is being opened up for the festive period.
The Department of Infrastructure says contractors will begin their Christmas break from tomorrow and work equipment is being cleared to allow residents to enjoy the route during the festive period until Thursday, January 2.
The stretch is undergoing extensive long-term improvement works carried out in different stages which has seen parts of it closed to the public during working hours.
Back in June the DOI confirmed five cycle-friendly lanes and 100 metres of boardwalk through wetlands will be part of the finished project with most of the pathways being resurfaced with recycled quarry material.
