Manx National Heritage is issuing a reminder about laws surrounding open fires.
The organisation says byelaws mean fires aren't allowed on land owned by the trust, with its message coming following a gorse fire in Maughold an Easter Sunday caused by a disposable barbecue.
MNH added the incident in the north of the Island could have been much worse and the restrictions in place are there to help prevent uncontrolled wild fires.
Firefighters dealt with a separate incident on Tuesday tackling a 100-metre hedge fire in the Abbeylands area.
