A local charity is asking Islanders to look out for hedgehogs as they emerge from hibernation.
The Manx SPCA says will be sleepy and very thirsty and will head for the nearest water.
Although the animals are good swimmers - the charity warns many will die because there is no way out of the water.
Therefore, they're asking the public to build or put escape routes (such as ramps) or wire netting near ponds and fountains.
The charity is also asking people to not use slug pellets, as they poison Hedgehogs.
