The emergency services were out in the early hours of this morning to take a patient off the Island.
Douglas Coastguard were called out at 3.25am in almost zero visibility to meet a rescue helicopter on Douglas Beach.
The chopper, Rescue 936, had to land in extremely difficult conditions to carry out the medical evacuation.
Police and Ambulance staff also attended.
