Hector Duff funeral taking place today

The funeral of Manx war veteran Hector Duff will take place later today.

The Manx veteran, and OBE, passed away last Monday at the age of 101.

The Island's Road Policing Unit has announced they will be leading the funeral cortege.

Mr Duffs' funeral will take place at 1pm at St Peters Church in Onchan.

The service is invite only and parking will be restricted on Church Road.

Following the private service, members of the public will be invited to join Hector's family afterwards at the Villa Marina in Douglas between 3pm and 5pm to celebrate his life for an afternoon of memories, stories and music.
