The Isle of Man is a step closer to getting flights to Heathrow, after the UK government announced it would go ahead with a planned expansion at the London Airport.
EasyJet says in the wake of the announcement earlier this week, it will set up a new route from Ronaldsway to Heathrow.
The company's chief executive Carolyn McCall says the company plans to set up a base of operations at the airport to provide the extra services.
It's not yet clear when the routes would be available, however - at present, the only London flights from the Island offered by easyJet are to Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and Southend.
