The Health Minister says the private patients unit at Nobles Hospital will reopen this summer.
Claire Christian MHK faced a question was quizzed about the unit which closed five years ago by Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse in Tynwald.
Ms Christian said the ward is currently open for private diagnostic services.
But because of pressures on Manx Care the unit will be fully re-opened this summer:
