The Health and Social Care Minister has defended her decision not to back plans to update abortion law on the Isle of Man.
Kate Beecroft has been criticised for voting against the proposals in the House of Keys on Tuesday - she was one of three MHKs who did so.
During the debate on the topic she said there wasn't enough medical evidence available to support a change:
Taking to Facebook afterwards she claimed it wasn't the department's place to bring about change based on a "change in social values".
The Douglas South MHK also refuted that her decision was based on religious grounds saying people claiming that "are wrong".
