The Health Minister is accusing the Liberal Vannin Party of playing ‘political football’ with the Island’s health service.
It’s after the party’s health spokesperson - MHK Kate Beecroft - accused senior bosses of misleading the public over a review of colorectal surgery.
The LVP published excerpts of a private report which looked into why the procedure was suspended last year.
David Anderson says the parts published contained no professional context or perspective and is another part of a ‘misleading and alarming’ campaign against the hospital.
He’s adamant the party is only serving to undermine the medical profession:
