Senior health figures are being accused of misleading the public and members of Tynwald over a review of colorectal surgery at Noble’s Hospital.
The Liberal Vannin Party says it’s concerned about statements made by the Health Minister David Anderson and chief executive David Killip at a Social Affairs Policy Review Committee.
Mr Killip assured the committee that the November review concluded that all cases were appropriately treated and that surgical procedures were acceptable with a report giving no cause for concern.
Liberal Vannin MHK Kate Beecroft says she asked Mr Anderson if he stood by this statement before the document was published.
Having now seen the report she’s not happy with his response and says the party has sent the report to the standards committee for consideration:
