The Henry Bloom Noble Trust has bought healthcare equipment for the Island's Prison.
The £17,000 grant has paid for an ECG machine and bladder scanner, meaning less prisoners will have to be sent out to the hospital.
Anya Evans, Healthcare Manager at the Prison, says at least two prison officers have to accompany anyone that goes to hospital, so the new equipment will reduce this knock-on effect on staffing levels.
