Health authorities strongly promote vaccinations

The Public Health Directorate has sent out a message to parents strongly recommending their children receive the MMR vaccination.

This follows yet more confirmed cases of mumps and measles over the past few weeks.

The department of Health has backed this recommendation saying its vital children around the Island are protected.

The director of public of health said these diseases can serious complications.

Dr Kishore also expressed her frustration at the amount of misunderstanding regarding vaccinations even in the modern age, and how this misinformation is costing lives.
