20 people have responded to a government consultation into harbour redevelopment.
Eight harbours are in need of fixing up and commercialisation including Douglas, Laxey, Ramsey, Peel, Port Erin, Port St Mary, Castletown and Derbyhaven.
Last month the Department of Infrastructure encouraged individuals and private organisations to give their ideas.
It will now talk to interested parties to find out more about them before starting the next phase of the project.
Director of ports Anne Reynolds explains what they'll be looking for in the next stage of the consultation:
Weather postpones council's Easter fun day
Seven ferry crossings hit by water levels and dredging issues in Douglas
Sam Barks returns to Les Mis in transatlatic tour
DHSC commissioning rapid review of Noble's bed capacity
