20 people have responded to a government consultation into harbour redevelopment.
Eight harbours are in need of fixing up and commercialisation including Douglas, Laxey, Ramsey, Peel, Port Erin, Port St Mary, Castletown and Derbyhaven.
Last month the Department of Infrastructure encouraged individuals and private organisations to give their ideas.
It will now talk to interested parties to find out more about them before starting the next phase of the project.
