Half of broken defibs now working

The Island's ambulance service says half of the Island's defibrillators which had been out of order are now working again.

The organisation took to Facebook to say it had partnered with the Craig's Heartstrong Foundation charity.

It says after checks on the equipment 32 have already been brought back into use - sometimes with simple action such as checking batteries or pad expiry dates.

In its post, the Isle of Man Ambulance Service says the devices are invaluable when it comes to saving lives.
