Martin\'s Bike Bursts Into Flames - Grimsby Rider Conscious As Airlifted to Hospital
The Senior TT was red flagged after two laps following an incident involving the number 8 Honda machine of Guy Martin in the Ballagarey area of Glen Vine.
The red flag means all competitors must immediately stop upon seeing it,
it has since transpired however that Martin has been airlifted to Nobles, he is conscious but he has sustained serious chest injuries.
Martin's bike caught fire and crashed into a hedge at high speeds causing the hedge to catch fire, it was this that halted proceedings whilst a fire engine attended the scene to put the fires.
The revised schedule will see the race re run today at 3.00pm, but now only over 4 laps instead of the original 6.
