Aiming To Be Back In Peel At 14:30Hrs
A group of Manxmen are on course to row in to the record books.
The team of 15 left Peel on Monday lunchtime in a Viking long boat in an attempt to row all the way around the Isle of Man.
They're taking on 90 miles non-stop, the toughest challenge was the tides at the sound this morning. After a battle against the elements they got through that and are on the home straight to Peel.
The current world record of 27 hours was set in 1995.
The team are hoping to get back in to Peel at around 14:30Hrs this afternoon which would be smashing the title.
One of the men taking part, Neil Callister, said it's been harder than any of them could have imagined and they are already so proud of taking on such a challenge considering most of them had never stepped foot in a rowing boat until a few months ago. (audio above)
