As gusts of up to 60mph batter the Island - the Laxey to Ramsey Coast Road is currently blocked due to a large fallen tree.
The Department of Infrastructure says traffic conditions near Minorca Hill are very heavy, and are asking motorists to avoid the area if possible.
Despite reports of snow between Brandywell and Windy Corner the Mountain Road between Ramsey and Douglas is fully open.
The DOI has confirmed a gritter is currently laying salt on the Mountain Road.
A yellow weather warning for severe gales is currently in place until 11am.
