Doctor appointments will not be available on Thursday next week.
GPs will be attending their third education session of 2017.
The quarterly education sessions were set up in 2012 to give GP's the chance to discuss developments in medical care.
Practices will remain open during the afternoon for patients to collect test results, make future appointments and order repeat prescriptions as normal.
