Gov’t advise staying indoors during Storm Eunice

The safest place to be is indoors between 10am and 3pm tomorrow.

That’s the advice from the Isle of Man government ahead of Storm Eunice.

Sever gales and storm force winds up to 75mph are expected, as well as up to 10cm of snow on higher ground.

The Mountain Road will be closed from 10pm tonight and is likely to stay closed until tomorrow afternoon, but will be reviewed regularly.

Peel Promenade will also close from 10am tomorrow as large waves are likely, and it’s asked that all vehicles are removed from the seafront ahead of the closure.

Schools will be open and Bus Vannin services will run as normal, with the exception of routes that include Peel Promenade and the Mountain Road.

Drivers are asked to take care and only drive between 10am and 3pm if necessary.
