Chief Minister Alf Cannan says the Isle of Man will come up with our own rule and regulations governing Artificial Intelligence rather than adopt them from the European Union.
He faced a question for written reply from Rushen MHK Juan Watterson about the government's plans to regulate AI.
Mr Cannan said the government is putting together its own bespoke national AI strategy which could include aspects of laws from elsewhere.
And he added that strategy would be presented to Tynwald when it's ready.
