Government and the retail industry have jointly developed a new Island-wide strategy to boost the sector's growth.
Earlier this week, the strategy was laid before Tynwald to inform on retail developments that aid the formulation of relevant policy – such as planning.
The Department of Economic Development says the aim is to aid development in trade, pass information to Tynwald and notify the public.
Richard Ronan is the member with responsibility for retail - he says everyone needs to be proactive in developing the town centres:
Ramsey Remembrance service to be marked by maroon rockets
MEDS phone line to be down temporarily
Committee to examine link between poverty and poor academic performance
Police advice for trick-or-treaters to stay safe
