Government warned of implications of doubling land development tax

Government has been warned that there will be implications for doubling land development tax.

The controversial move was introduced in this years budget - coming into force at the beginning of April.
 
It's expected to save £3 million - which will enable over 10,000 low earning individuals to be removed from paying tax.
 
Over 50 local property development professionals attended a meeting last week with the Treasury Minister Eddie Teare to have their voices heard.
 
Cowley Groves director, David Creane says they should have looked to find the savings elsewhere:
