The Island's information Commissioner has told the Cabinet Office to reconsider a Freedom of Information request after it refused to release information.
The request, asking for a breakdown of £2 million paid to workers who left the government, asked for a breakdown of the costs.
But the Cabinet Office refused, claiming it was personal information.
However, the applicant asked for a review of the decision and the commissioner says the request wasn't properly considered and must now release the figures or properly explain its refusal.
