Government tendering for new Villa Gaiety ticket complex

The government says it's currently tendering for a ticketing system for the Villa Gaiety complex in Douglas.

Education Minister Daphne Caine faced a question for written reply about the system and its costs.

She said last year the venue had sold almost £3.4 million of tickets - paying the ticket contractor just over £38,000 and charging £157,000 in booking fees.

And she added the current contract is up for renewal soon and a procurement process is now underway.
