‘Sustained efforts’ have been made by government to accommodate the changing plans of a new shipping company.
That’s according to the Department of Infrastructure - which says it has considered numerous differing plans from Ellan Vannin Line.
Last week, the company announced it would not be launching a freight and separate passenger service in March as planned.
The department says that 'at no time' has the company been denied access to Douglas Harbour, but the proposals would have to fit in around the current User Agreement with the Steam Packet.
