And promise this year will be better
The Department of Economic Development have commented on the first week of the TT fortnight saying its success bodes well for race week.
Today marks the official start of TT 2010 with the Superbike and Sidecar events getting under way this afternoon.
Figures of visitors making the journey are up considerably on this time last year with an early estimation saying over 35,000 biking fans will be on the Island.
The visitor increase comes following concerns that last years shortcomings could have impacted on visitor figures this year.
MHK Geoff Corkish, from the Department of Economic Development has said he feels lessons have been learnt, which should make for a better TT 2010.
