The government’s revealed the Manx Utilities Authority sold natural gas at a loss to the Island’s only supplier.
This week in the House of Keys, MUA chairman Dr Alex Allinson faced a question for written reply from Onchan MHK Rob Callister.
Dr Allinson said in 2015, the last year figures are available, the MUA bought gas for an average of 2p per unit – and sold it to Manx Gas for just 1.8p.
In 2014 the MUA bought and sold gas at 2.2p per unit, but in the two years before sold to Manx Gas at a loss of between 0.1 and 0.2p per unit.
