The Department of Education has 'serious concerns' about the misrepresentation of facts around the sex education curriculum.
Minister Julie Edge delivered a statement in Tynwald yesterday, following the findings of the first part of an investigation.
It followed claims a Drag Queen had taught sex education at QEII High School and had told a child to leave the classroom following a dispute over the number of genders.
Ms Edge added QEII, its staff and pupils and the reputation of the Isle of Man has been impacted.
She said malicious accusations and comments have been received by staff and the Minister herself through email, letters, calls and social media.
Ms Edge added such comments will continue to be reported to the Isle of Man Constabulary where appropriate.
