The government has responded to Crogga's announcement yesterday that it cannot complete a gas extraction project off the Island's coast.
It says that the company originally had a deadline to complete a seismic survey on the area by the end of 2021.
But despite many deadline extensions the company still hasn't completed the survey, and would not agree to revised terms to extend the license further.
The government says it worked positively with Crogga at every stage whilst protecting the interest of Manx people and taxpayers.
