Infrastructure Minister Michelle Haywood says she doesn't know if there'll be any staff cuts as driving licence services move online.
She faced a question for written answer from Douglas North MHK John Wannenburgh about headcount efficiencies as licence applications move onto the government website and out of Post Offices.
In her response, Dr Haywood says applications will still need to be processed and audited, and so it wasn't possible to say if fewer staff would be needed.
Applications for duplicate or renewed licences moved online earlier this month.
