Refurbishing a government building is part of creating a more targeted approach to service delivery.
That’s according to the Department of Social Care which has reopened Markwell House in Douglas.
According to the department it is now a ‘one stop shop’ for all benefits related enquiries.
The costs of the refurbishment work – which saw staff move from the Hill Street office - have been met by the closure of that office which is now up for sale.
