Treasury Minister Alex Allinson says the government is considering tighter restrictions on immigration.
In the House of Keys he faced a question from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse about the issue.
Dr Allinson said officials are currently looking at the system of bringing workers to the Isle of Man.
And he said there were some specific areas being looked at:
