The government says it's reached a pay deal with two public sector unions.
The Public Services Commission says the pay agreement with Unite and Prospect will see a four per cent rise for workers for last year.
It'll mean the pay increase will apply to civil service, manual and craft employees and non-teaching staff at the Department of Education, Sport and Culture.
The PSC says it'll continue negotiating with Unite about a second year of the two-year deal.
