Home Affairs Minister Jane Poole-Wilson says the government's planning to use face recognition technology at ports.
Today, she's announced a strategy called Securing Our Island, designed to tackle crime by securing the Island's borders.
The plan aims to spot criminals before they enter the Island, keep residents safe, and bring wrongdoers to justice.
The government says it'll introduce facial recognition and number plate recognition at air and sea ports.
