Fire crews spent three hours tackling a fire in Port St Mary earlier.
A gorse fire broke out at around 4.30pm just above a cliff face.
The emergency services say the blaze was difficult to put out because it was in a remote location.
Earlier police had advised residents to close windows and doors.
