Patrols will start at an Island golf course to make sure dog walkers are adhering to byelaws around its grounds.
Douglas Borough Council says wardens will be covering Douglas Golf Club in Pulrose on an ad-hoc basis and may also ask golfers for their club cards or day receipts to prove they're rightfully out there.
On social media the authority says those who can't provide they have the right to be on the course that day will be asked to leave.
Officials say the move has been made to enhance the experience of club users.
