Douglas Borough Council is reminding people glitter can't be recycled.
It comes as Glitter can be a staple craft item for children, especially at Christmas time, but must be disposed of correctly.
Anything with glitter on should not be placed in recycling boxes, but instead re-used or put straight in the bin.
The Council says it presents the same issues as micro-beads, as it's made of tiny pieces of plastic bonded with aluminium.
