Work will begin next week to reduce the risk of flooding on a road in Laxey.
From Monday, February 24, the Department of Infrastructure will be upgrading the drainage system on Glen Road between between Brookside and Lewins Cottage in a project expected to last around two weeks.
Officials say the road will remain open but temporary lights may be put in place and it will go down to a single lane for traffic with the road set to be excavated.
Parking will also be suspended on a stretch of the route from 6am next Monday which will be marked with police 'no waiting' cones.
