Port Erin commissioners have applied for planning permission to turn part of a golf course into a glamping site.
They've asked to turn part of a field at Rowany Golf Course, which is currently unused, into luxury camping accommodation.
The board, which owns the land, says a company called Rowany Glamping has won a tender to operate the site.
In its application it says 10 glamping pods would be placed on the land - each with their own en-suite bathroom and kitchen facilities.
The commissioners say the site would meet gold standards set down by Visit England and each pod could accommodate up to five people.
They'd have views over Bradda Head and the site would also have an outdoor seating and barbecue area.
A welcome centre would have a member of staff on hand at all times and a boardwalk path would mean it's accessible to wheelchair users.
In a letter the golf club says it supports the development which it says would bring more visitors to use its facilities.
