Major roadworks will begin in Douglas today as Manx Gas prepares to replace gas mains.
Eleven weeks of disruption is forecast as work gets underway on Bucks Road.
It will be carried out in three phases - the first is between the Rosemount and Demesne Road.
Parking restrictions will be in place and buses will be forced to vary their routes - businesses will also have their gas supply turned off at varying points.
