Price increases in the current climate 'cannot be avoided,' according to Manx Gas.
Yesterday it was announced the Island's gas tariffs will increase by 58% from April 1.
The company says extreme volatility in the global energy market has seen costs spiral to unprecedented levels.
It means the central heating tariff used by domestic customers will increase by 5.7p per unit, taking the cost to 15.4p.
Manx Gas will also be reducing the discount offered to those who pay by direct debit from 2.5% to 1%.
