A Foxdale business is reporting £1m worth of damage to its stock following recent flooding.
Bettridge Motors says over a hundred vehicles have been wrecked by water which ran off from the surrounding fields.
The cars were left in more than two feet of water which damaged the electrics.
Peter Bettridge says the insurance company will base any payout on the trade value of the cars so his businesses will lose out substantially.
He believes it will take a long time to get over it and hopes steps will be taken to make sure it can’t happen again:
