Ronaldsway Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the next two days.
The warning runs from 11pm tonight until 3pm on Thursday,
Forecasters say severe gale force winds will bring coastal overtopping and possibly some harbour flooding.
On Wednesday night and Thursday morning, gale or severe gale force southerly winds of up to 55mph are set to blast the Island.
Meanwhile, high tide just after 1.30am on Thursday could see waves and debris washed onto exposed areas, including the north end of Douglas promenade.
