Theatregoers will be able to booze during performances at the Gaiety after it won licensing approval.
The venue on Harris Promenade announced the news on Facebook, saying the licensing court had approved the changes.
It launched a consultation in September about the proposals, which will allow people to drink in their seats - although the bar won't be open during shows.
The consultation shows 650 people opposed the move, with 526 in favour.
