The Department of Education and Children says it's considering the future of three former schools.
A freedom of information request asked about the department's property portfolio - including buildings it plans to get rid of.
In its answer, the department says it doesn't have any plans to sell off properties, but is looking at what to do with three sites.
The department says the former Ballacloan school building on Demesne Road in Douglas is no longer suitable for education purposes.
It's been declared surplus to requirements after the nearby Henry Bloom noble School opened, and the government's strategic asset management unit is now considering its future.
Also no longer required is the former Fairfield school on Tynwald Street in Douglas - that's to be leased to the Salvation Army while the organisation revamps its headquarters.
And the former Bride school is also under consideration while the department decides what it wants to do with the site.
