Future of post office counters back under spotlight

Politicians will once again discuss the future of post office counters next week.

Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper will ask IOM Post Office Chair, Julie Edge MHK, whether the post office board has determined which sub-post office counter locations are at the greatest risk of closing.

In a separate query, Ms Edge will be quizzed by Arbory, Castletown & Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse who wants to know how many people responded to the consultation on the Ballasalla Post Office and attended the public meetings about it.

Those questions will be put forward at the next House of Keys sitting which takes place next Tuesday (February 4) in Douglas from 10am.
